Counselor in Training
Has camp made a difference in your life?  Are you now wanting to give back?

Join the Team!

MWC’s Leadership Training Program (LTP)

Are you 19 and ready to serve?  Are you wanting to take on a leadership role?  Join MWC’s LTP by becoming a Counselor In Training (CIT).  We are looking for individuals who are serious about being a positive example to our younger campers while at the same time developing quality leadership skills.  We are planning a challenging and fun experience that will take place at MWC this year.

Additionally, have you considered attending GIT Campus Days right before camp happens? We’ll take you from the Farm to Camp. Check it out Here.

What you can expect:

Each day will start early as you get together with the CIT director and the other CIT’s to go start your day with prayer and devotions and to go over the days’ activities and your responsibilities.

Each day you will have team building and leadership skills training that you will later be able to put into practice as you interact with campers in their normal activities ranging from cabin talks to field activities.

Service – Matthew 20:26 CJB

“Among you, it must not be like that. On the contrary, whoever among you wants to be a leader must become your servant.  Each day will be filled with opportunities to serve.”

Areas of service you can expect:

  • Attitude and energy – You are a role model
  • Activities – Being ready to be a “go fer” or game leader etc.
  • Attentiveness – Setting the tone for all the campers
  • Meal times
  • Anything and everything you can imagine

So, will this be fun?  You bet it will.  We are still in the planning stages, but already have some fantastic staff and activities to make this a fulfilling and fun time.

Please be prepared for a Skype interview after your registration, or a phone interview if circumstances require.

Rod Woodruff: Worship Leader

Rod Woodruff of Oye Israel Ministry has also been an important part of Messiah West Coast for 11 years. In 2008, Brad Scott asked Rod to help lead worship at Messiah West Coast. Together Brad and Rod have been a part of Messiah West Coast from the very beginning.

Rod started leading worship in 2000 and by 2003 had released his first CD “End of the Exile.” He now had 4 CDs published and is currently working on his 5th project with Brad Scott. Rod believes that when we worship…we grow closer to the Messiah. “When we come together in times of worship, lives are changed, ” Rod says.

Rod will be unable to make it to MWC 2020 because of his family’s needs at this time.

Brad Scott: Teacher/Speaker

Brad Scott of WildBranch Ministry was an integral part of Messiah West Cost for 11 years. Brad traveled the world teaching, but always had a heart for youth.

The WildBranch focus is to restore the ways of our Creator to His people by teaching the Old and New Testaments from the language and culture of the people who penned them. The New Testament is crammed full of idioms, phrases, and concepts known to the observant Jew (Yehudim) living in the time of Yeshua’s ministry, but unfamiliar to modern readers. The Scriptures must be read through the eyes and minds of the culture in which it was written.

This will be a tough year, without Brad again. But we strive to uphold the principles he held dear and teach our youth to love their Creator with everything within them

Camper Registration

We’re excited to see you at Messiah West Coast this year! The cost is $415.00 per camper for early registration and $440.00 for registrations after May 1st

INTRODUCING THIS YEAR: Fundraisers!!! We have 2 ideas, but the sky’s the limit, for anyone who is entrepreneurial at heart! Our ideas include:
(#1) T-shirt sales (2 designs available – “Faith Over Fear” or “United We Stand; Divided We Fall”), and
(#2) Requesting individual sponsorships (from business owners you know, perhaps, or from people who attend your local fellowship). This can be done easily with a simple Zoom meeting. Scripts will be provided! This is a good stretching exercise to get out of your comfort zone, but also to tell others what MWC is all about!

Prizes are available for campers who raise MORE than they need for their own registration and can help support another camper to attend. Fundraisers will be rolled out to registered campers by March 31st.
